Due to COVID restrictions, the Russian National Orchestra has had to cancel their United States tour for the upcoming year of 2022. At this late date, our programming committee was unable to find a replacement concert for the February 12, 2022 performance. Although the cancellation is for reasons behind our control, the EMMA Board of Directors is extremely sorry that we will be unable to present a concert on this date.

Those who have already purchased tickets for this event will have received an email through our Box Office support. The Board of Directors would like to offer options described in that email. For ticket holders who have problems with those choices, please contact ‘support@myboxoffice.us’ or 904 797 2800 and leave a message.

The Russian National Orchestra was founded in 1990 by pianist and conductor Mikhail Pletnev. The orchestra has since then been described as “a living symbol of the best in Russian art”. The orchestra’s recording of Prokofiev’s Peter and the Wolf and Beintus’s Wolf Tracks, conducted by Kent Nagano and narrated by Sophia Loren, Bill Clinton, and Mikhail Gorbachev, received a 2004 Grammy Award, making the RNO the first Russian orchestra to win the recording industry’s highest honor.
